制作について

M8 TrackerとGAMEBOY、歌を中心に作った12曲入りのアルバムです。ジャンルはチップチューン、デジタルフュージョン、パワーポップなど。J-POPを意識して作りました。CD-Rは紙のスリーブに入っています。遠近法を使った仕掛けで、目がずっとこちらを見つめてくるように見えます。曲名はCD-Rだけ日本語で、ほかは英語です。

ふりかえり

M3で思った以上に売れたので、CD-Rを100枚追加で制作しました。第2版はミックスとディスクのデザインが第1版と少し違います。Bandcampの注文分は、12月初めに発送する予定になりました。CD-Rはメロンブックスの通販や、北海道のhaircut VOX内のカセットショップLIKE A DREAMING GIRLでも扱われました。

デジタルよりもCD-Rで手に入れてくれる人が多く、うれしかったです。

About the making

Twelve songs built mainly on M8 Tracker, Game Boy and vocals, in a mix of chiptune, digital fusion and power pop, made with J-POP in mind. The CD-R comes in a paper sleeve with a perspective trick that makes the eyes seem to follow you. The song titles are in Japanese on the CD-R only, and in English everywhere else.

Looking back

It sold far better than expected at M3, so 100 more CD-Rs were printed. The second edition has a slightly different mix and disc design, and Bandcamp orders were set to ship in early December. The CD-R was also sold through Melon Books online and at LIKE A DREAMING GIRL, a cassette shop inside haircut VOX in Hokkaido.

Tobokegao was glad that more people picked it up on CD-R than as a download.
