PLASTIC THEATER
Tobokegao
Overview
- Date: Thursday, January 25, 2024, 19:00–22:00
- Venue: PLASTIC THEATER, Sapporo
- Theme: Chiptune
- Flyer: Tobokegao
Lineup
- Jeff Liu: also did storyboarding and music for Steven Universe. At rehearsal, Jeff played a Game Boy and a guitar.
- TERA: someone Tobokegao came to know through a chiptune event in VRChat. The set centered on chipstep.
- Tobokegao (DJ): planned to play more vocal songs with a bitpop feel, a little away from the chiptune scene.
Looking back
Snow had been forecast for the whole day of the event, but less fell than expected and the night started without trouble. Tobokegao was very happy to hear “Cookie Cat” performed by its composer, Jeff Liu. The effects board Tobokegao lent to Jeff stopped working, perhaps from being shaken on the drive over, so only the Blues Driver was taken out and used. Tobokegao’s DJ mix went up on SoundCloud the same night.
